Hi buddies, my name is Sicily, a beautiful and passionate girl as my name. I am happy and optimistic, I always feel that the life is wonderful, difficulties are the part of this wonderful life, take it and face it. For what the life gives me, I learned to be grateful, always knowing what I have and value it.
I am easy to talk to, because I know how to listen to the other people first, so people like to talk with me and hang out with me and I guess that's also because of my sense of humor, I am happy when see the other people happy, but, that doesn't mean I make them happy in a stupid way or something, I take people equally and fairly even if the social status, but I talk to the person, not a suit. My friends always can find who they are or feel stronger of who they are when they are around me.
I am active and confident, I will take an action when I decide to do something, because I believe if I don't try, I'll never know. I am also a kind and helpful person, I try to be there when my friends are in troubles, just do what I can to help them get over it or give them advices, but I don't claim that I am smarter. International people like to travel with me, first for the Chinese I speak that will make their trip much easier, second I am fun to be with and really know how to communicate, I don't sound like making a speech, but a interactive talk.
Something about my hobbies, I like traveling with low budget, I've been to many places in china to see the great culture without spending much. I like working out to do body building, gaining more sexy muscles LOL. I am also into jogging, swimming, push-up and sit-up.
I like watching movies, comedy mostly and dancing, I dance to the bars on the weekends, sweating a lot!! I also like learning language, it didn't take me long to speak excellent English and it didn't give me the hard time either, I am learning Spanish now, I think it will be as fluent as my English in the near future.
In Nov 2003 I got the English tour guide license authorized by National Tourism Administration Bureau when I was in Yunnan Provincial Tourism Vocational School, my major was English tour guide. From May to Aug 2004, I worked as an English tour guide in my hometown Kunming, Yunnan for 3 months.
In Sept 2004, I entered Beijing International Studies University, major in Tourism management. The jobs or the part-time jobs I've done in the past 3 years in the university was, first, being an adult oral English tutor, mainly help my students to practise their oral English according to their requirements or their weak points. I was also a Chinese teacher for the foreign students in my school or my foreign friends, they liked me, because I could explain clearly and made it easier for them to understand, the most important thing was I taught them how Chinese people really talk in the daily life, not textbooks.
From May 25th to 28th 2006, the America reality TV game show "The Amazing Race" from CBS filmed in Beijing, I worked as a personal assistant for one of the challenge producers from the group, we were responsible for the shots in the Gold House Restaurant and Beihai Park. You can even see me on this show if you watch "The Amazing Race Episode 1, Season 10" The girl who demo eating the fish eyes, that's me. You can see how I enjoy eating them!
From Jul to Aug 2006, I worked as an English tour guide in Beijing for my summer holiday. On Jul 11th to Jul 15th, I leaded the 50-person tour group from Canada travelled Beijing, we had a great time! Afterwards, I also leaded some smaller groups or persons from USA, Australia, Germany and UK.
From Nov 2006 to Jul 2007, I worked from Thursdays and Fridays as an interpretation executive and translator for paper work in an advertising agency dealing with real estate AD in Beijing, for the large property project Parkview Green rising in the city center, I was responsible for the clients' documents or project translation and English slogan designing as well. I do the same job also for the other Beijing real estate AD translation.
From Jun 6th to Jun 17th 2007, I went for a business trip to Tsingdao with my business friend, mainly help dealing with exporting affairs. We visited factories, suppliers and attended a trade show in Shanghai. Next time will be in HK and Zhejiang province.
