I am home and writing you from work (it's Tuesday here in the States.). I arrived on Monday from Singapore and am a little tired but still enjoying many fond memories from our trip.
Xi'an was amazing with the city center and the Terra Cotta Warriors as examples of the diverse history of China. On the Yangtze river cruse my brother Paul introduced me to Tiger Beer, so Qingdao beer is number two now!
Thank you for the book. I finished reading Monkey, A Journey to the West. It was very fun to read. Also I just finished a book on Buddhism and am almost finished reading My Life as Emperor. If you have any other literature suggestions or books you would recommend on China's history or culture please feel free to contact me. Mrs. Swayne finished both Raise the Red lantern and Life as an Emperor already. So we are all very interested in Chinese literature and culture.
We worked with other guides in China and we all agree you were the most knowledgeable, flexible, and accommodating. Your personnel interest made our trip interesting and insightful.

Just a quick note to inform you that we were very satisfied with Ms Zheng!
She is a nice person, very easy to work with, knowledgeable and caring. She also made us possible to discover Beijing in such extend that it would have been impossible without her assistance - we had never before realised how huge a city Beijing is...
With Ms Zheng's help we could locate all the places we wanted to see, she arranged us to Chinese Medicin Hospital (Tong Ren Tang), helped us to get airtickets to Vietnam at a reasonable price and - best of all - introduced us to Chinese way of life. She also listened to us and arranged things the way we wanted - for example eating in such places where local people eat, not fancy hotel restaurants, but exactly the places to our greatest pleasure.
Please, tell Ms Zheng our loving greetings: she really made our Beijing visit great!
