Hello friend, welcome to the great China. My name is Susan Song, I have been living in Shanghai for more than 4+ years, my hometown is Jiangsu province which is just next to Shanghai. My major in university is International Trade, and I worked in a MNC for more than 5 years as a garment merchandiser manager, where I practiced what I have learned from university, I also gained a lot of experience in textile and garment accessories industry. When I came to Shanghai, I have quit the international job and start another business in a company, our company imports fashion products from Mediterranean counties and help them to promote their brands and products in China, we also upload the products on selected cross border platforms and luxury platforms, our business scope includes clothes, bags, jewelries, shoes, sunglasses...etc.
I had also experience in electronic conductor business, securities and stock market business, shipyard and essential oil business, of course these industries are new to me, I have to do a lot of homework, but business are quite common, the way we communicate with people and build cooperation relationship have no big difference. I also help customers to grow their business in China with my resources, especially in textile industry I have many suppliers from China, I know OEM factories of different kinds of clothes, fabrics, trims, also I have contacts of freight forwarders and shipping companies to help to clear custom. I'm really happy to see when they got fruitful meetings, that's my main purpose too!
During my free time I work as a part time interpreter/tourist guide , I like this job is because I can meet people from all around the world, they are like new books to me, when I communicate to our clients, I learned new things, and I am very excited to find out the diversity of the rich world cultureļ¼ the customers I served are from all over the world, Europe, America, Middle East, Africa and south eastern Asia. I don't see the part-time experience as a job, its more like a gift to me. Sometimes I also help the famous tourist agent THE DRAGON TRIP to lead tourist group in Hangzhou and Shanghai, the tourists are mainly from U.K. Most of the time I also guide businessmen to visit suppliers or meet buyers all around China, We go to big cities like Beijing, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou very often, and some customers are not only from textile or fashion industries.
